Changing an insurance carrier's payer ID

If an insurance carrier was set up with the wrong payer ID (such as 06126), and plans that are attached to patients' records are associated with that carrier, you can do any of the following:

• Merge insurance carriers - Merge all the carrier's plans with another carrier that has the correct payer ID.

• Migrate insurance plans - Move specific plans from the carrier to another carrier that has the correct payer ID.
