The Perio Chart toolbars

The Perio Chart includes four different toolbars to provide easy access to most of the Perio Chart tools:

Note: You can customize the Perio Chart toolbars to fit the needs of each user.

Perio toolbar

Icon	Name	Description
	New Exam	Click to open the New Exam dialog box where you can create new exams.
	Open Exam	Click to open the Open Exam dialog box where you can open existing exams.
	Save Exam	Click to save the current Perio exam.
	Print Perio Exam	Click to open the Print Perio Exam dialog box where you can print exams.
	Delete Exam	Click to open the Delete Exam dialog box where you can delete exams.
	Undo Data Entry	Click to undo the last data entries to an exam. You can undo multiple entries or changes. (When you can undo a change, the icon changes to blue; otherwise, the icon is gray.)
	Redo Data Entry	Click to redo the last data entries to an exam. You can redo multiple entries or changes. (When you can redo a change, the icon changes to purple; otherwise, the icon is gray.)

Graphic Chart

Click to open the Perio Graphic Chart.

Exam Comparison

Click to open the Select Exams dialog box.

Note: After you select the exams you want to compare, the Exam Comparison dialog box appears, where you can compare and view up to five previous exams.

Script Selection toolbar

By default, the Script toolbar contains the Perio Navigation Script list. You must select a navigation script before you can enter the measurements you take during a periodontal exam.

To select a navigation script

· From the Script list, select the navigation script that you want to use to enter measurements.

The pre-defined navigation scripts you can choose from include:

· Dentrix Default Script

· Dentrix Clinical Attachment Level

· Dentrix Gingival Margin

· Dentrix Mucogingival Junction

· Dentrix Probing Depths

Patient Information toolbar

Icon	Name	Description
	Select Patient	Click to open the Select Patient dialog box where you can select a patient.
	Health History	Click to open the Health History window from which you can record a selected patient's medical conditions and allergies..
	Patient Alerts	Click to open the Patient Alerts dialog box where you can add, edit, or delete patient alerts.
	Patient Picture	Click to open the Patient Picture dialog box where you can add, edit, or delete a picture of the patient.
	Patient Referral	Click to open the Patient Referral dialog box where you can add a referred by or referred to source or edit existing referrals.
	More Information	Click to open the More Information dialog box where you can view personal information about the patient, including any scheduled appointments or continuing care attached to the patient.
