The following eight tooth navigation scripts are available in the Perio Chart:
· CAL Back - Navigates the clinical attachment level from the left, to the center, to the right surfaces of each tooth.
· CAL Forward - Navigates the clinical attachment level from the right, to the center, to the left surfaces of each tooth.
· GM Back - Navigates the gingival margin from the left, to the center, to the right surfaces of each tooth.
· GM Forward - Navigates the gingival margin from the right, to the center, to the left surfaces of each tooth.
· MGJ Back - Navigates the mucogingival junction from the left, to the center, to the right surfaces of each tooth.
· MGJ Forward - Navigates the mucogingival junction from the right, to the center, to the left surfaces of each tooth.
· PD Back - Navigates the probing depth from the left, to the center, to the left surfaces of each tooth.
· PD Forward - Navigates the probing depth from the right, to the center, to the left surfaces of each tooth.
You cannot edit or delete these scripts; however, you can create custom tooth navigation scripts or copy the default scripts, and then edit or delete the copies.
To add a tooth navigation script
1. In the Perio Chart, click File, and then click Entry Settings Setup.
The Entry Settings Setup dialog box appears.
2. Click Add.
The Add Mouth Navigation Setup dialog box appears.
3. Click Tooth Navigation Scripts Setup.
The Tooth Navigation Scripts Setup dialog box appears.
4. To add a tooth navigation script, click Add.
The Add Tooth Navigation Scripts Setup dialog box appears.
5. Type a name for the tooth navigation script that you want to add.
Note: For example, to create a script to enter probing depth and gingival margin, you might want to name it PD & GM Forward. The name you enter must be unique.
6. To set the tooth navigation order, click each site button in the order that you want to navigate around the tooth.
A number appears, indicating the tooth navigation order. The first site you measure is number 1, the second number 2, and so on.
7. Click Save.
The tooth navigation script is added to the Tooth Navigation Scripts list.
8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 to add a second script and set the navigation to the opposite direction.
Note: For example, if the first script you added was PD & GM Forward, name the next script PD & GM Back.
