You can open the Signature Manager from the Appointment Book or the Patient Chart.
Important: If passwords are enabled, users must have the Sign Clinical Notes permission to open the Signature Manager and sign a clinical note.
To open the Signature Manager
1. To open the Signature Manager, do one of the following:
· In the Appointment Book or the Patient Chart, click the Signature Manager toolbar button.
· In the Appointment Book or the Patient Chart menu bar, click File, point to Switch To, and then click Signature Manager.
The Signature Manager window appears.
2. To view a note, click it.
The details of the note appear.
3. To sort the list, do one of the following:
· To sort by Appt. Date, Note Date, or Patient, click the desired column heading. Click the heading again to return the list to its default.
· To sort by Provider or Status, click the desired list, and then click the appropriate provider or status.
4. To update the Signature Manager, click Refresh.
All patients with appointments but without a note or with Clinical Notes (signed or unsigned) are added to the list.
5. To search by date, set a date range or select a range from the list.
Note: You can also search by date, patient, provider, or status by typing the first few numbers (date) or letters of a name or status in the Search box.
