Patient Alerts are alerts that you can customize and attach to patients or family members when you want a flag for certain conditions. This alert is displayed whenever you access information about the patient or family, and a symbol is displayed on the patient's appointments. Patient Alerts are essential for respecting patients' privacy and disclosure of information requests. Patients and family members can have an unlimited number of alerts.
The Patient Alerts dialog box is accessed through the Patient Alerts button. The color of the Patient Alert button indicates whether an alert has been created for the patient or not. When the Patient Alerts button is white, no patient alerts exist for the patient or family. When the patient alert flag is yellow, one or more patient alerts exist for the patient or family.
The Patient Alerts button is accessible from any patient-specific module, including the Family File, Patient Chart, Ledger, Appointment Book, Office Journal, Collections Manager, Treatment Manager, Document Center, Perio, and Questionnaires.
