Deleting operatories

Operatories are used primarily when scheduling appointments. Dentrix comes pre-set with the following default operatories: OP-1, OP-2, and OP-3. You can add, edit, and delete operatories.

Important: We do not recommend that you delete operatories. Deleting an operatory can leave Dentrix in an unstable condition if the operatory is attached to a provider or an appointment.

To delete an operatory

1.   In the Office Manager, click Maintenance, point to Practice Setup, and then click Practice Resource Setup.

The Practice Resource Setup dialog box appears.

2.   Under Operatories, select the operatory that you want to delete, click Manage, and then click Delete Operatory.

A warning appears.

3.   If you have not used the operatory to schedule an appointment or attached the operatory to a provider, click Yes.
