You can assign a paint type to a procedure in the Procedure Code Editor to determine how the procedure is drawn on a tooth in the Patient Chart. The following default paint types are available:

Note: Dentrix includes all available paint types. You cannot change or delete paint types. The ADA codes included with Dentrix are assigned paint types as applicable. However, you can assign the ADA code to a different paint type to fit your preference. For example, you could paint a crown "solid," "hatched," or "outline." Changing a description does not change what is painted for that paint type.
