Production analysis

One of the best ways to improve your patient's oral health and increase production in your practice is through analyzing your production and increasing treatment case acceptance.

Beginning Balance - For MTD, this is the previous MTD's ending balance. For YTD, this is the previous YTD's ending balance. This option will be blank for a date range. For the AVG column, it will average the beginning balance of the months being averaged.

·        Charges

·        Non-Insured Charges - The amount (or average) from the completed procedures entered during the time period that were not billed to insurance (the total for month-to-date in the MTD column).

·        Insured Charges - The amount (or average) of production that was billed to insurance in the given time period.

·        Sub-Total - The total production from completed procedures entered during the time period.

·        Finance Charges - The total (or average) finance charges added to patient accounts (either those entered manually or those calculated with Month End) during the time period.

·        Late Charges - The total (or average) late charges added to patient accounts (either those entered manually or those calculated with Month End) during the time period.

·        Adjustments - Additions: The total (or average) of any adjustment amounts that were added to a patient account during the given time period (debit adj., patient refund).

·        Total Charges - The total (or average) of Non-Insured, Insured, Adjustment Additions, Charge Adjustments, and Finance Charges.

·        Credits

·        Patient Payments - The total (or average) amount from all guarantor payments applied during the time period.

·        Insurance Payments - The total (or average) amount from all insurance claim payments applied during the time period.

·        Sub-Total - The combined total of guarantor and insurance payments entered during the period.

·        Adjustments: Reductions - Total (or average) of any adjustment amounts that were subtracted from a patient account (Write off, Cash Discount, and so on) during the time period.

·        Total Credits - The total (or average) of Guarantor Payments, plus Insurance Payments, plus Credit Adjustments.

·        Ending Balance - The Beginning Balance, plus Total Charges, minus Total Credits.
