In the Ledger, you can display account information in several different ways. When first opened, the Ledger displays all transactions posted during the current month for the selected patient. You can change the view so you can see all transactions for the selected patient, including transactions in history. You can also display the treatment plan for the selected patient.
To display all transactions for the selected patient, including transactions in history
In the Ledger, click Options, and then click Ledger + History.
To display a patient’s treatment plan
In the Ledger, click Options, and then click Treatment Plan.
Note: If the Treatment Plan option is not available in the View menu, it is probably because you have All (with running balance) selected in the View menu. In the View menu, click All (with running balance) to clear the option.
The Ledger title bar (and the check mark next to the selected item) indicates the current view.
Note: If you select the Ledger or the Ledger + History view, that view displays the next time you open the module. If you select the Treatment Plan view, the Ledger view displays the next time you open the module.
In addition to choosing a view, you can switch between the following options on the View menu:
· Show Transaction Links - Occasionally you might want to see all procedures linked to an insurance claim, or vice-versa. In the transaction log, select the transaction that you want to find links for. Next, from the View menu, click Show Transaction Links. Dentrix highlights all transactions linked to the selected transaction. Click any transaction to remove the highlight.
· All (with running balance) - You can view all family members in the Ledger at the same time. To do this, from the View menu, click All (with running balance). Dentrix displays the transactions for the entire family and adds a column to the transaction log displaying a running balance for the account.
· Other Family Members - You can quickly switch to other family members in the Ledger. To do this, from the View menu, click the family member whose ledger you want to see.
· With Running Balance for Patient - To display a running balance for the selected patient, from the View menu, click With Running Balance for Patient. A check mark indicates that this option is enabled. To remove the running balance, select the option again to clear it.
· Default All (with running balance) - When you select this option, the Ledger opens, showing all family members with running balance until you select a different view. When you do not select this option, the Ledger shows only the selected patient’s transactions and balance.
