You can customize the Lab Case Manager to view certain lab cases and display only the data that you have selected.
To set the General Options view
1. In the Lab Case Manager, click View.
The Lab Case Manager View dialog box appears with the General Options tab selected.
2. Do the following:
· Lab Name - Select a range of labs to see only cases sent to certain labs. Click the From and To search buttons and select a lab to start and a lab to end the range, respectively.
· Patient Name - Select a range of patients to see only cases for certain patients. Click the From and To search buttons and select a patient to start and a patient to end the range, respectively.
· Send Method - Select a range of methods to see cases that were sent by a certain shipping method. Click the From and To search buttons and select a shipping method to start and a shipping method to end the range, respectively.
· Case Provider - Select the case providers you want to view or Select All to include all providers. Select List Inactive to view inactive providers.
· Sent Date - To view cases that were sent (or will be sent) at a certain time, complete one of the following tasks:
· All - Select to view all cases regardless of the date they were sent.
· Absolute - Select to view cases that were sent within a certain date range. Type the date range in the From and To fields.
· Relative - Select to view cases that were sent relative to the current date. Select Next or Previous and the number of Days. For example, if you select Previous and then specify 7 days and are viewing the Lab Case Manager on September 8, the view includes lab cases that were sent September 1 through September 7.
· Finished Date - To view cases completed on a specific date or range of dates, select one of the following options:
· All - To view all cases regardless of the date they were finished.
· Absolute - To view cases that were finished within a date range, type the date range in the From and To fields.
· Relative - To view cases with completion dates relative to the current date, select Next or Previous and the number of Days. For example, if you select Previous and then indicate 7 days and you are viewing the Lab Case Manager on September 8, the view includes lab cases that were finished September 1 through September 7.
3. Click Show Columns.
The Show Columns dialog box appears.
The column on the right lists all fields that are currently selected to appear in the Lab Case Manager. The column on the left lists the fields available for selection.
· To remove a column, select it in the right column and click Remove. The field moves to Available Columns.
· To add a column, select it under Available Columns and click Add. The field moves to the right.
· The order of the columns on the right determines how they are displayed left to right in the Lab Case Manager. To change the order of the columns, select the column you want to move and click Move Up or Move Down.
· Click OK to save your changes.
4. Do the following:
· Show Totals - Select to display a subtotal of certain columns.
· Save as Default - Select to save your settings as the default.
5. Click OK.
