Deleting postal codes

With each new patient you enter, a database of cities and their corresponding postal codes is compiled. As a result, the first time you enter a postal code in Family File, you are prompted to enter a corresponding city. The next time you enter that postal code for a patient, the city and province appropriate to that postal code are filled in for you. As you enter more patients, you will be required to enter the city and province less often.

To delete a city or postal code

1.   When adding a new patient in the Head-of-House Information dialog box, click the PC search button.

The City Information dialog box appears.

2.   Under By, select or click one of the following:

·        City – To look up a city's postal code.

·        PC – To look up the postal code's city.

·        List All – To view every city or postal code entered.

3.   If you selected City or PC, begin typing the postal code or city name.

A list of the cities or postal codes matching your search request appears in the list box.

4.   Select the city or postal code that you want to delete.

5.   Click Delete.
