You can crop an image in the Patient Picture window to remove unwanted details, improve the framing, emphasize the subject, or change the aspect ratio of the image.
To crop an image
1. Select a patient.
2. In the Family File, click File, point to Switch To, and then click Patient Picture.
The Patient Picture window appears.
3. In the toolbar, click the Crop Image button.
The mouse pointer changes to a cropping tool.
4. Drag the cropping tool over the area of the image that you want to crop.
A dotted line appears outlining the area you want retain in the new image.
5. Release the mouse button, and then in the toolbar click the Save button.
Dentrix crops the image to the area you selected and expands the image to fill the Patient Picture window.
