Setting up auto file acquire

You can designate an empty folder to save scanned documents to automatically regardless of the type of device you used to scan the document. If you do not have rights to the auto acquire folder, a message appears.

Note: If you have not set up Auto File Acquire, a message appears when you open the Document Center. Click Yes to set up Auto File Acquire.

To set up auto file acquire

1.   In the Document Center, click Acquire, and then click Auto Directory File Acquire.

The Setup Acquisition Method Defaults dialog box appears.

2.   Do the following:

·        Document Type – Select the appropriate type from the list.

·        Description – Type a description of the document.

·        Orientation – Select an orientation from the list. (Applies to X-rays and other images of a patient's mouth.)

·        Acquire without displaying Document Information – Select to prevent the Document Information dialog box from appearing.

3.   Under Set Default Scanner Import Folder, click the search button.

The Browse For Folder dialog box appears.

4.   Do one of the following:

·        Select a folder

·        Click Make New Folder

5.   Combine Images Created within X seconds – Select the appropriate number of seconds.

6.   Click Save and Close.
