Dentrix Imaging supports acquiring intraoral images from the iRay Pluto intraoral X-ray sensors on computers running the Windows operating system. Drivers for the iRay Pluto sensor must be installed on each computer that the iRay Pluto sensor will be connected to.
Note: Before installing the iRay Pluto sensor, you must install the acquisition agent application on each computer that you use to acquire images. Please refer to Setting up the acquisition agent for instructions on downloading and installing the acquisition agent.

The drivers for the iRay Pluto sensor are provided by the manufacturer and must be installed prior to configuring the device for Dentrix Imaging. You may need to install the iRay software in order to install the sensor drivers.
To configure the acquisition agent for the iRay Pluto sensor
1. In the system tray, right-click the Acquisition Agent icon, and then click Preferences.
The Preferences dialog box appears.
2. Click the Digital Sensor tab.
3. Under iRay Pluto Sensor, do one of the following:
· Work Directory – Leave as is.
· Work Directory – Browse to and select a different location. Example: C:\XRayDR\Xray\IRayDR\CaptureDriver\IRay\work_dir\Pluto0002X.
4. Click Done.
5. In File Explorer, browse to the folder where the acquisition agent program files are installed. (By default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Acquisition Agent.)
6. Copy the IRayPluto.zip file to the desktop.
7. Right-click the .zip file, and then click Extract All.
8. Open the folder containing the extracted and copy the files to the Acquisition Agent folder in step 5.
Once the iRay Pluto sensor is functional, you can test it by acquiring an image.
To acquire an image
1. In the Imaging Procedures list, click Bitewing Single Image.
2. In the tooth selection chart, click the teeth you want to image.
3. In the Acquisition method for this imaging exam menu, click iRay Pluto, and then click Proceed with Acquisition.
4. Acquire an image using the iRay Pluto sensor.
Make sure that the iRay Pluto sensor is detected by the computer. Open Device Manager, and then verify that the device appears.
