Dentrix Imaging supports acquiring intraoral images from the Digora Optime phosphor plate scanner on computers running the Windows operating system. You must install the Digora Optime scanner drivers on each computer the scanner is connected to.
Note: Before installing the Digora Optime scanner, you must install the acquisition agent application on each computer that you use to acquire images. Please refer to Setting up the acquisition agent for instructions on downloading and installing the acquisition agent.
You must install the Digora Optime Scanner drivers before you set up the scanner for use with Dentrix Imaging. The scanner uses the KaVo drivers. To download the most recent KaVo drivers, click https://kavokerr.widen.net/content/ag3ensjfz0/original/DTX_Studio_Driver_24.2.zip?u=6r91uc&download=true. You can also find the drivers on the DEXIS website at https://dexis.com/en-eu/download-center.
You must configure all acquisition devices on each computer that you use to acquire images using the Digora Optime scanner.
To configure the Digora Optime scanner
1. In the system tray, right-click the acquisition agent icon, and then click Preferences.
The Preferences dialog box appears.
2. Click the Phosphor Plate tab, and then click Optime Settings.
The DIGORA Optime Setup dialog box appears.
3. Click the Settings tab.
4. Under Scanner Connection, select one of the following options:
· Direct Connection – Refer to your Optime User's manual to configure the options.
· IP based – Refer to your Optime User's manual to configure the options.
5. Click the Scanner tab, and then under Image Scanning, select Super.
6. If multiple workstations use the device, select Use Multiconnect.
7. Click OK, and then click Done.
Once the Digora Optime scanner is functional, you can test it by acquiring an image.
To acquire a test image
1. In the Imaging Procedures list, click Bitewing Single Image.
2. In the tooth selection chart, click the teeth you want to image.
3. In the Acquisition method for this imaging exam menu, click Digora Optime, and then click Proceed with Acquisition.
4. Click Start Acquisition.
Your Digora Optime scanner is ready to scan a plate.
Note: Before you scan a plate, make sure that Not Enhanced is selected from the Apply Enhancement list.
5. If you are using multi-connect, do the following:
a. In the system tray, click the Digora icon.
b. Click Reserve the scanner.
6. Acquire an image, and then process the plate with the Optime scanner. While the device is scanning, a progress screen appears.
