Dentrix Imaging supports acquiring intraoral images from the FTG DC-Air intraoral X-ray sensors on computers running the Windows operating system. Drivers for the DC-Air sensor must be installed on each computer that the DC-Air sensor will be connected to.
Note: Before installing the DC-Air sensor, you must install the acquisition agent application on each computer that you use to acquire images. Please refer to Setting up the acquisition agent for instructions on downloading and installing the acquisition agent.

You must install the correct DC-Air sensor drivers so that the device is recognized by your computer.
Once you have installed the correct drivers, the DC-Air sensor is functional in Dentrix Imaging.
To acquire a test image
1. In the Imaging Procedures list, click Bitewing Single Image.
2. In the tooth selection chart, click the teeth you want to image.
3. In the Acquisition method for this imaging exam menu, click DC-Air, and then click Proceed with Acquisition.
4. From the Apply Enhancement list, select Not Enhanced.
5. Acquire an image using the DC-Air sensor.
Note: Because the DC-Air sensor is wireless, images will take longer to appear in Dentrix Imaging. An image will appear in the acquisition status window after exposure so you can see that the full image is being processed.
To troubleshoot the DC-Air sensor, ensure that the computer detects the sensor. Open the Device Manager, and then ensure that the device appears.
