Dentrix Imaging supports acquiring intraoral images from any Kodak/Carestream intraoral digital X-ray sensor through the Carestream RVG TWAIN driver. The Kodak/Carestream TWAIN driver supports most Kodak/Carestream RVG intraoral digital X-ray sensors, which includes the RVG5000, 5100, 5200, 6000, 6100, 6200, and so on. You must install Kodak/Carestream RVG driver on each computer that you use to acquire images from an RVG sensor.
To set up a Kodak/Carestream RVG TWAIN source
1. Navigate to the Carestream RVG TWAIN folder, and as Administrator, double-click SetupRVG.exe.
The Installer Language dialog box appears.
2. Select your preferred language, and then click OK.
The Welcome to the RVG Drivers Setup screen appears.
Note: To run the Kodak RVG TWAIN Source in demo mode (no RVG hardware required), select Demo mode.
3. Click Next.
The Choose Components screen appears.
4. Select the appropriate device drivers for your Kodak RVG hardware and TWAIN, and then click Install.
The one or more Windows Security dialog boxes appear.
5. Click Install.
The following screen appears.
6. Click Finish.
7. Connect the Kodak RVG X-ray sensor hardware to the computer.
Once you have installed the Kodak RVG sensor, you can test it.
To test the Kodak RVG sensor
1. Open Dentrix Imaging Center.
The Dentrix Imaging Center dialog box appears.
2. Click the Acquire Images tab, and then from the Imaging Procedures list, click Bitewing Single Image.
3. In the tooth selection chart, click the teeth you want to image.
4. In the Acquisition method for this imaging exam list, under TWAIN Devices, click RVG Twain, and then click Proceed with Acquisition.
Note: If you have one or more sensors attached to your computer, the RVG TWAIN Source lists the sensors' serial numbers along the bottom of the screen. The serial numbers appear on the Kodak RVG sensor cable.
5. Click Finish Acquisition.
To confirm that the device driver is loaded and that the device is recognized by Windows, do the following:
1. Connect the Kodak RVG sensor, and then open the Device Manager.
2. Click Sound, video, and game controllers, and then right-click RVG XXX.
3. Click Properties.
Notes:
· If the device is not working properly or is not listed, the drivers are not installed properly and must be uninstalled and then re-installed.
· The physical sensor may also have a bad connection, or it is defective and not recognized by the computer.
