DDX and Dentrix - Quick Start Guide

Dentrix and DDX work together to help you get your work done. Select the DDX tab and you can create lab cases and referrals, without paper, making a phone call, or creating a plaster cast.

Note: You must already have or need to sign up for a free DDX account to use the DDX Desktop.

Create a Lab Case with DDX

From inside the Pateient Chart, you can place a lab case. (Duration: 4:38)

Key Information

The background color of the icon in the Appointment Book will change from yellow to green when the case returns from the lab.
When creating the follow up appointment, it is suggested that it be a day or so after the Delivery date for the case.

DDX Case Management

Use DDX to manage the progress of cases. (Duration: 4:02)

Submit and Manage Referrals

Use DDX to submit and manage referrals from inside Dentrix. One system simplifies the efforts of getting your patient the care they need.

Key Information

Remember to verify the patient information in DDX before placing the referral, as this information comes over from Dentrix automatically.
You can view the progress of referrals you have placed in the Portal.
